Richard R. LeMay, 83, passed away on November 17, 2020 at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Springfield, MA on February 13, 1937, he was the son of the late Albert and Catherine (LaRoche) LeMay.

He was employed at Pratt and Whitney Aircraft for over 30 years, before retiring in 1993. For many years, he was also an active member of Magawa Sporting Club in Agawam.

To cherish his memory Richard leaves his loving wife of over 50 years, Patricia (Woods) LeMay of Agawam, his sons Richard LeMay Jr and Michael LeMay, M.D. and was predeceased by his daughter Susan (LeMay) Clark. His grandchildren William and Katherine Clark (Susan), Christopher and Amanda (Richard) and Christopher and Megan (Michael) were a very wonderful part of his life.

Richard was one of 10 children (7 boys and 3 girls) and unfortunately, only his sister Theresa Szczpanski of Ludlow is the only survivor. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews who he has dearly cherished and loved and by numerous special friends with whom he spent many happy times and shared wonderful memories.

Memorial contributions in Richard’s memory may be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104. For more information or to leave an online condolence, please visit
