To the entire family of "Grammy" - we are so sorry for the loss of your mom, your grandmother, your friend. She was so kind and gentle and my children loved her when they spent time with her grandchildren. I enjoyed our conversations together - whether it be for the short time while picking up the kids, or during her walks with Rigly - she was so strong - her wit and her love for life and of her family was always so inspiring.

The heart that your mother had for others is a rare gift to the many people who had the privilege to know her and be blessed by her.

And to Robyn, It takes a special person to be a good mom, but it takes an even more special person to be the mom of a great child. You are proof of your mother's great character. Thank you for your friendship!

Jane (Bodin) and I have very fond memories with Shirley and Ken. Dinners, stage shows. Jane, who passed away this past June, both helped kids Shirley helped kids with speech problems and Jane with reading needs. And the had fun and there are many kids in the general Leveret area who today will voice that when we meet them. One day Shirley told Jane, they could together, help a Chinese man, learn to speak English. Jane said I couldn't. Shirley, in her very strong assurance said "Yes you can". And they did. Today Tom and his wife Nili live in Wisconsin. She is professor in early education and Tim is now a minister, very active in their church.
Shirley was always so positive, and active in any way she could help.
We were very lucky to have know her.
