Father Szupper was so special to me. Where do I start? He brought me back to mass with his gentle wisdom and humor. How many college students can say they looked forward to going to mass on Sunday? He got to know me as a person, he cared. While I was still in college at UD he unexpectedly came to my father's funeral mass 45 minutes away as a concelebrant. I have a collection of his messages from his masses because they were so special. Rest in peace Fr. Szupper. You brought peace to so many college students, especially me. <3

Deepest sympathy to the Szupper family on the loss of Father Mike. His obituary is beautiful and a real tribute to him. We always enjoyed chatting when he came home to visit his mother. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Ohhhh, my goodness .... where do I begin? This lovely, gentle, intelligent, compassionate and loving soul of a man helped so many UD students, myself included. He was a blessed presence to UD and will be very, very missed. Modeling unconditional love and positive regard, he was a beacon for many of us at UD. I will be forever grateful to him in not judging me or being harsh toward me when I expressed my struggles with religion and the teachings of the Catholic Church. He was, truly, a man of God. I am so grateful to have known him. Rest in Peace, Fr. Mike. Thank you for your teachings and for ALWAYS keeping it REAL! I love you!
