Mussette M. Brooks, 98, of Phillipsburg, NJ passed away on Monday, April 19, 2021 at her home.
Mussette was born in Manhattan, New York City on June 4, 1922 to the late Guy Percy Trulock and Mussette Langford Trulock.
Mussette was a graduate of the Covenant of Mother Cabrini in New York City and the Comptometer Division of the Felt and Tarrant Business School and Manufacturing Company. She was employed with the Motor Coach Corporation of America-Fifth Ave Bus Company, prior to moving to Phillipsburg. During her years in Phillipsburg, Mussette was employed with the Journal of Commerce and retired as Supervisor in the Import-Export Reporting Division.
Mussette was a very active member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church of Phillipsburg, serving on the Vestry, was Lay Reader, President of the Literary Guild and a member of the Episcopal Church Women. She volunteered with Meals on Wheels, was a member of local Republican Organizations, was a life member of the American Contract Bridge League and a member of the American Contract Bridge League of the Lehigh Valley.
Mussette is survived by daughters, Susan Brooks of Phillipsburg and Patricia Roth and her husband Glenn of Pattenburg, NJ; a son, Peter Brooks of Bethlehem, PA; granddaughter, Rebecca Crozier and her husband Richard of Buffalo, NY; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Sydney and Lily Crozier; great-niece, Kathleen Ansaldi and her husband Patrick; great-nephew, Patrick Rocke and his wife Christina; great-great-niece, Paige; great-great-nephews Andrew and Matthew. Mussette was predeceased by her husband, Miller R. Brooks, Jr.; brother, Guy Edwin Trulock; and niece, Pamela Rocke.
A Visitation for the Family and Friends of Mussette will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 10am to 12pm at the Rupell Funeral Home, LLC; 465 Memorial Parkway; Phillipsburg, NJ 08865. Services will be private, with a Celebration of Mussette's Life to be held at a later date. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery; Burlington, IA.
