An officer and a gentleman, with the kindest of hearts. One of the dapperest men, I'll ever know. I will miss his humor and his signature bow ties.

Dear Sally and Family - It is with heavy heart that I send my condolences to you and your children. Atty. Shaffer was one of the finest, most distinguished gentleman I have ever had the pleasure of working with at Butz, Hudders & Tallman so many, many years ago. My family and friends have many happy and funny memories of vacationing at Harvey Cedars thanks to you and Mr. Schaffer's kindness. Working with Atty. Shaffer was a continuing education back in those years and he will be truly missed by
every person whose life he had touched.
