Robert D. Wagner, 87, of Center Valley, died Sunday, January 10th, 2021, at St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem.

He was the husband of Barbara L. (Diehl) Wagner for 57 years. He was born in Bethlehem on March 29, 1933 to the late Martin H. and Anna (Pulley) Wagner. He was a 1951 graduate of Bethlehem Technical High School and served in the Armed Forces of the United States from 1951-1954. He received numerous medals including the Good Conduct Medal, Korean Service Medal, National Defense Medal and the United Nations Service Medal. He was assigned to the 38th Parallel during the Korean War.

Robert worked as a technical draftsman for Bethlehem Steel, Willis & Paul in Wind Gap, Mack Trucks and continued at Lehigh Building Systems in Allentown until 2019.

He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Geigertown.

Survivors: In addition to his wife, Barbara, are sons: Christopher R. Wagner, of Florida, Brent M. Wagner and his wife Angela of Boyertown; daughter, Audra L. Hill and husband Corey of Emmaus; grandchildren, Christopher J., Samantha, Madison, Trenton, Anna and Gavin; brother, John Wagner and his wife Anne of Gypsum, KS; sister, Nancy Wagner of Athens, Texas. He was predeceased by his brothers, Harry and William Wagner.

Service: Graveside service January 16th at 11 A.M., Durham Cemetery, Riegelsville. Procession from Norcross Weber Funeral Home, Coopersburg to cemetery 10 A.M

I worked with Bob here at Lehigh Valley Building Systems and am glad I had the chance to know him. He was a nice man and will be missed!! My condolences to his entire family.

I worked with Robert back in the late sixties as a draftsman for Bethlehem Steel (FSC). I was only an apprentice at the time but he was a full fledged Detailer. We both worked on the Martin Tower project. What I remember from back then was Robert was a real nice guy and a straight shooter.
My condolences go out to his family.
