Dear Bryan and Karen,
I was so shocked to hear of your mother's death and I send you my sympathy! Your mother faithfully would send me a birthday card for years with all her cute little cut outs and it was so nice to be remembered! If she didn't send a card she would call. She had a great laugh! We both had October birthdays.
This past October was very busy with a new grandchild born, and birthdays passed. We dropped our home phone and Ruth may not have had my cell number. I did not know she was sick. She was very caring and will be missed!

To Ruth's Family,
I am so sorry for your loss.I met Ruth when she did my dad's laundry at B'nai Brith, she was the most caring & loving person I have ever met,she was always smiling & had a joke for us,she came from Topton to my dad's funeral in January 2008 & that meant so much to me,I only went to Topton once but we talked on the phone quite a bit & kept up with all the news as best we could
Brian you were very special to her, keep all the happy times with you
God Bless you all

My deepest sympathies go out to her family. Ruthie, as I called her, was an angel here on earth - now she is with the angels in heaven. She used to clean my mother's apartment at Bnai Brith and she would go out of her way to do extra nice things for her. She was an excellent caregiver and spent her life doing it. I kept in touch with her after my mother died and I shall miss our long telephone chats. The last time I talked to her she was so weak but still managed to be upbeat. May she rest in peace - she certainly earned that. To her son, I say please know she thought the world of you.

To Ruth Havir's Family

I am so sorry to hear about Ruth's passing. Ruth was friendly with our family many years ago when she worked at the Mohican Market on South Ninth Street in Allentown. She was a special friend. Somehow we lost contact with each other. The last I knew she was living on West Liberty Street in Allentown. I think about her every time I pass through her old neighborhood. May you find peace know that Ruth is now at peace. I know she is looking down on all of you until you meet again someday. May God bless all of your family during this time of sorrow.
