67, of Allentown died Monday, January 8, 2018 in his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Diana Mahalchick Leiby to whom he was married 42 years. Born in Pottsville, PA on November 24, 1950, he was the son of the late Warren and Kathryn Cohen Leiby. He was a retired machine mechanic from D Electric, Inc., Quakertown and previously worked for Crowder, Jr. Company, Bethlehem. Walter was US Navy Veteran of Vietnam, a 1969 graduate of Pottsville High School and an avid sportsman who especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a caring and loving father and husband. Survivors: Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter Colleen (Leiby) wife of Christopher Brent, a son Bryan Leiby, a grandson Maxwell Brent, three brothers Jim, David, Phillip, and sisters Penny and Janet. Services: Graveside services will be held on Friday at 10:30 AM at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Lebanon County, PA with Military Honors. Contributions may be made to the Red Cross, 3939 Broadway, Allentown, PA 18104 in his memory. Contributions: Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, Annville is in charge of arrangements.
