Violet was the heart and soul of Kovacs corner store. If we had a quarter we feasted on the penny candy and 5 cent soda's life was good back then in the 50's

I was one of the many kids who loved going to violets store in the 80's. She knew my parents and grandparents very well and always treated me well. I will always cherish the great memories.

Colleen and Weiss, Kovacs, Kelleher, and Horvath families,
Very sad to hear of Violet's passing. I remember her as always laughing and quick with her wit, especially when with her sisters. It was always fun to see how she decorated the store windows, full of intriguing things. Colleen, you did a wonderful job of taking care of your aunt so she could enjoy her final years. Wishing you all peace and the ability to celebrate Violet's life well-lived.
with sympathy,

Thank you Violet for the nice conversations as a child... and the penny candy. Rest in Peace.
