William R. Mason, 78, of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on May 8, 2021 after a lengthy battle with heart disease. Bill leaves behind his loving wife Margaret Mason (Peggy) with whom he shared 55 years of marriage. Bill was born in Phillipsburg, NJ on April 28, 1943 and was the son of the late Blanche and Barney Mason of Phillipsburg. He was predeceased by his brothers Joe and John Mason of Phillipsburg. Prior to his retirement, Bill worked as Plant Manager at Atlantic States Ductile Iron Pipe Company in Phillipsburg. Earlier, he was an Assistant Fire Chief with Delaware Park Volunteer Fire Department in Lopatcong Township. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and at one time was the President of the Young Men's Rod and Gun Club. Bill enjoyed his later years living near the Jersey Shore fishing on LBI, gardening, doing woodworking, and spending his time with his wife Peggy. In addition to his wife, he was survived by a daughter Peggy Gould and her husband Bill of PA, a son Bill Mason and his wife Karen of CT, and his daughter Doreen Mason and Barry Wulf of Nazareth, PA. Bill always enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren Christopher, Nicholas, Cole, Derek, and Sarah along with his great grandson Luke.

A calling hour will be held on Monday, May 17, 2021 from 10 – 11am at the Finegan Funeral Home at 302 Heckman Street in Phillipsburg, NJ, with a Funeral Service beginning at 11am at the funeral home. The interment will be at St. Philip & James Cemetery in Greenwich Township, NJ. Visit www.fineganfh.com.
