Palo Alto and San Francisco
Carol Tooker Stewart, age 70, passed into peace in the early morning of December 13, 2020 from complications of early onset dementia. Carol was a loving and loyal wife, sister, daughter, aunt and friend. A beautiful and spirited woman with a quick wit, sharp intellect and distinctive sense of style, Carol was loved and admired by many.
Carol was born in Champagne, Illinois, daughter to Edwin and Pauline (Beal) Tooker, who both preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband Robert Stewart and five beloved Golden Retrievers. Carol and Bob lived in San Francisco for over 40 years enjoying the many pleasures of their North Beach neighborhood and their beautiful city.

Carol combined fashion and art by designing hand painted silk garments and was recognized in 1982 as one of I Magnin's five "Young Designers of the Year." Ultimately, Carol turned her focus to business and spent the bulk of her career as a paralegal for Steinhart & Falconer/ DLA Piper.
