Gauri Uncle recently told Mummy, Papa was one of the Panchsakhas along with Gauri Uncle.
On Uncle's bidding I took Papa to his Physics class reunion at Revenshaw college a few years back and was indeed blessed to be there.
And I have seen the purest form of love and friendship when I saw them together.
If I could even have an iota of this purity of heart, this kindness of the soul and this brilliance, I would be proud of what I have achieved.
Losing Uncle is like losing a part of Papa.
I may not know him well or even in that sense relate to him, but his absence creates a void in Papa's world, and hence mine.

The news of Gauri bu' s passing away is unbelievable and heartbreaking. I had the opportunity meeting him in San Jose in his house twice and had the good fortune of having dinner prepared by him. Every time when he comes to Odisha we meet. Nearly two months back he had telephoned from USA. A lovable , humble, and helpful person will be missed very very much
When I write this, I am unable to control tears coming out. Myself and my wife Rita are emotionally devastated. May God give Chinmayee Devi and other family members courage to face the irreparable loss. May his soul rest in peace

I was very fond of Gauri babu. He knew my parents and family back in Kendujhar,Odisha, India and addressed my father as "Purna Aja". He had seen me grwoing up as a child. When we met, he would always ask about my elder brother who was his contemporary and also my elder sisters.
I am very sad that he passed away so suddenly. I will always remember his smiling face and very friendly and warm conversations. He was a brilliant student and achieved academic distinctions in India, England and USA. He lived and worked in the bay area and contributed significantly in the development of semiconductor processing technology.
He was socially very active and in 1969, founded the Orissa Society of Americas in Boston, MA while working at MIT. My heartfelt condolences to his wife, his two daughters and family members.May his soul in its everlasting journey continue to do great things till the attainment of enlightenment.
