I never knew you. But I did know your Mom and Dad when I lived in California.
I am sure that you were a blessing and joy when you came into this world.
Dearest daughter, may you be strong forever and have your guiding light in memory. Always know that you will be loved and truly missed.

In middle school we were so close and I remember having halloween parties with our big group of friends - you always put a smile on my face. You have a such a big heart, and I will always remember you. I wish our friendship had developed even more, but I will never forget you. You are greatly missed by each and every one of us.

You are a beautiful soul, and I hope you are resting easier. I've spread the word about fair trade to countless people: I will keep working towards your dreams, I promise.

Sonya,
I still can't write your name, but I can type it. So I guess that's good. I just remember that Friday on the playground with the world tilting and laughing hysterically into your shoulder. All I can hope is that we were both wrong, and that I get to see you again. I miss you so much, my friend. I cared and I always will.
