When I saw Harriet's name, it brought back wonderful memories of the times she and I shared way back in 1966-69. Harriet and I met at San Jose State. We spent time together in classes,at the sandwich shop across the street from the campus- and at home get togethers with our husbands and other friends. In 1969, we went separate ways due to my moving to San Diego, birth of my first child..

Harriet and I were kindred spirits- both of us petite in stature and passionate about liberal politics. She was a dynamo! and she was the catalyst for lots of political activism. Her intelligence, charm and delightful personality stayed in my memory all these years. I'm sure she continued enthusiastic passion for all her endeavors.

My thoughts are with family and friends. Harriet definitely made the world a better place.

Hennessey,
I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. Although I only knew her from attending parties or holidays, she impressed on me the necessity to smile. Se always seemed so happy, and yes, she loved Mariano and Alonzo bunches. Her eyes would light up and sparkle when she was talking with them.
Hope you, Luis, and the boys are doing well.
Love,
Laura

We dont know what to say except that we love you. We cant understand exactly how you feel, but Almighty God does and will keep raising you up. We hope that our prayers will help a little. Isaiah 57:15*
