Lupe M. Velasquez

Lupe Velasquez passed away on the evening of February 28 due to a long term illness. She was born in Minnesota where she met and married Richard on July 3, 1965. They were married 49 years.
Lupe worked as a contract specialist at NASA Ames for over 40 years. She was actively involved in her church and volunteering at the senior center and a local elementary school. After retirement, she enjoyed being a host 'grandma' to many San Jose Giants players.
Lupe was preceded in death by her husband Richard. She is survived by her daughters Sandra (Gilbert) and Anne; her grandchildren Anthony, Sara, and Alyssa, and her great-granddaughter Aubree.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the American Lung Association.

Lupe you will be missed by many at Ames. In loving memory of a wonderful person who selflessly gave her knowledge freely to those seeking it. You will be forever missed. May you rest in peace.
