So sorry to hear of Richard's passing. Such a happy and fun-loving individual. I enjoyed visiting with him and Eileen in San Jose and Tennessee.

I first met Richard in 1969 when I began working at SJPL. We were friends as well as coworkers through all the years of his career .there. Through good times and bad Richard was a friend always. After he and Eileen moved to Tennessee we stayed in touch with letters and phone calls. Whenever we spoke on the phone I could imagine his huge smile. He was such a warm human being. So sad that this wonderful man has passed.

A wonderful kind loving human being. I will miss the times shared with Richard and Eileen.

Richard was a wonderful man and a joy to work with. A love of opera and classical music was something we had in common, as well as a shared commitment to giving the best public service possible at San Jose Public Library. His kindness to everyone he met made him an exceptional human being and a true role model for the rest of us. Blessings to Eileen and the other members of his family. We are all missing Richard.
