I worked with Rita at AT&T for about 6 years, she was a great coworker and very helpful coworker sharing her knowledge of all things relating to at&t, especially sord. i sat next to her at the san jose call center for awhile and she was a good person. I will miss her, she will not be forgotten.

So sad to hear of Rita's passing. I was lucky to have met Rita while working at Pac Bell. Never saw her beautiful face without a smile. Deepest sympathies to her husband, children and family.

I've had the pleasure of working with Rita for the past 3 years at Jeppesen. She was such a ray of sunshine in the office every day -- always smiling and never complaining. She will be deeply missed. Sending prayers to her family.

I did not know Rita as well as I would have liked. We were in each other's lives briefly through a mutual friend. We had some things in common. But once in awhile in life, we bump up against people who change us in profound ways. Rita was one of those people for me. She exuded caring, compassion, fun. She is always a person who comes to mind when I am looking for a role model. Rita stopped at my shop a few months ago. Ever generous of spirit and kind of heart, she was thanking me for one of my paltry efforts toward inspiring kindness. The world is a better place for Rita having been in it. I am a better person for the little that we interacted. Her mark has been left. Ken, Julia, Owen, I lost my mom far too soon, also to breast cancer, so I know what it was like for me. We each have to find our own path through the grief. And the blessing of having been Rita's family will always be with you. Sending you love and holding you in prayers. Love you, Rita! Your legacy carries on!
