Mr Habeeb was my favorite 4th grade teacher at Montclair. He taught reading and mathematics in such a special way. Every day was unique. As for music, he had a piano in his classroom. I can still remember the Choral vividly, I have a tape of the Spring Concert. He also gave us nicknames, and he put on plays, giving us all roles in which to participate. He also invited his class to his wedding. He will be missed but always remembered.

Bob was my best friend through grammar school (Dudley Stone), High School (Lowell) and university (UC Berkeley.) Our birthdays are two days apart, and since his was the earlier one, I used to tease him about "old age." I miss Robert -- words cannot describe. I expect to see an email from him every day. I do expect I will see him one day in Heaven.

Mr. Habeeb was my 4th grade teacher in 1966 at Montclair Elementary school. He's the only teacher who I remember from growing up because of his unique and genuine way of connecting with the kids he taught. To this day, when setting up questions to retrieve a forgotten password - when asked "who was your favorite teacher growing up?" Easy - Mr. Habeeb. My only regret is that as an adult I didn't have the opportunity to tell him what an impact he had on our lives.

I'm going to miss his smiling face on Tuesday nights... Bob was always positive and pleasant. He will always be remembered fondly by those of us with the Sunnyvale Singers.
