Ernest E. Holway, 92, died Wednesday, September 4, 2019 in Beaumont at University Campus, Worcester. His wife of more than 25 years, Jeanne T. (Sims) Holway, predeceased him. He leaves five children: Angela Martin and her husband, John, of Westfield, Sharon Vieria and her husband, Paul, of Pepperell, Donna Holway of Eastham, Judith Buchanan and her husband, Stephen, of Bolton, and James Anderson of Florida; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and his former wife, and the mother of his children, Ruth (Metallo) Cote of Fall River. Ernie was born and raised in Provincetown, son of the late Bessie D. Holway. He attended local schools, and was a US Marine Corps Veteran. For many years, he worked as a Security Guard at MIT Lincoln Labs. Prior to that, he was self-employed for many years. Well-loved by those who had the pleasure to know him, he was a loving father and grandfather, who enjoy- ed reading the Bible; he had a special affinity for Psalm 23 Ernies relatives and friends are invited to attend a committal service with Military Honors on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Beaumont Resident Activity Fund, 378 Plantation St., Worcester, MA 01605.
