I worked with Ed when I was a younger man at Bradley International Airport. Ed was a volunteer for the tourist information a job he referred to as his second career although unpaid. He never missed his shifts and instilled in me money management, family values (he attended my wedding in 1997), and straight forwardness and honesty. I never bought another sports car after the lecture from Ed of wasting money...but I did keep my 1976 Jensen a old British car I know his son Paul approved of so I think he'd be okay with that. He always said if you want a pay raise Brown Bag your lunch. He wa right you know! I'm sorry I didn't see him in recent years as my own business and family have rightly consumed my time....but Ed has never left my mind or heart. I miss you Ed Rest In Peace. I'm sorry I just found out of his passing so late.

Kathleen, so sorry to learn that Ed has passed. We remember him from the lumber store. He was a nice, fair man to deal with.

Sympathy to Ed's family. Had many conversations and laughs with this good man at bingo. Will always remember him. Barbara Hemingway

Dear Kathy and family -
I was so sad to read of Ed's passing- it's been a few years since we've seen each other, but I will never forget the very special friendship that my mother and father had with you and Ed-( Mary & Red Jones)
The problems that Ed and my father would solve at 'Red's Mill' or in our kitchen on Arbutus Street ( over a Schultz) circled the globe:) how they loved each other! No subject was out of their reach, no problem too large -
Sadly,- you recall- he passed 31 years ago-but Mary just passed last year at the age of 91-(an opinion to the end:)) wonderful memories fill my head of your friendship and I'm so thankful for this form of communication- although- I would prefer a hand written card:) Kathy, I always admired the relationship and the love that you and Ed had for each other and for your beautiful children- I am 71 and now have 10 grandchildren!! Time flies!
I will keep you and Ed and your family in my prayers- the world has lost a unique giant of a man and I will always remember his defense of my teenage years and my activities- to my father:))
I'm so sorry to you and all the kids and grand children -no matter the age- their passing changes our lives forever and makes us very sad-
I am most definitely sad, but also so thankful that I
knew that guy who drove hundreds of miles a week, made lots of people laugh, and was a good friend to many - With much love and many blessings
