I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Dr. Sam Vinocur and his beautiful wife, Gail. Both were highly-respected educators in Mobile and have had a guiding hand in many teaching careers. I was always intrigued and entertained by Dr. Vinocur as my professor at USA-he always made me think! Mrs. Gail Vinocur hired me at Olive J. Dodge in 1991, where I still teach today. She always put the needs of her students first! You two will be missed!

Mrs. Vinocur touched so many young lives during her years in elementary education- including mine. I atttended 5 years at Robert E. Lee Elementary and always looked up to her with with a great deal of respect. You will be missed, Mrs. Vinocur.

I highly respected Mrs. Vinocur at Robert E. Lee Elementary. She was a great principal. We loved her as children. She was an encourager. God bless the family in the loss of your parents.
Former student, Rev. Grant McLain

I dearly loved Gail when she was my principal at Robert E Lee Elenentary School. I learned so much about the art of teaching from Gail Vinocur!
