To, Lisie, my forever friend from childhood. Your beauty and achievements amaze me. I can only imagine you now in that beautiful place of paradise. I love you, Friend. - Darlene

I am very sad to learn of Liz's passing. For a brief time I was her piano accompanist at MJC when she was studying voice with Dr. Woodward. I still remember the Pace Pace Mio Dio. May the Lord God Almighty continue to comfort and console all of her loved ones.

Lisie, I have missed you every day since you have been gone for the past 6 1/2 years. I no longer worry as to where you are and am glad that Mom & Dad are with you now so that you are all together and not alone. I'm learning more about Heaven all of the time. You have a granddaughter now. She is beautiful and we will make sure she learns all about your beauty. I no longer ask God "Why?" I now live my life in honor of you, Mom, and Dad, realizing that how I live is the best Memorial I can offer you. I live with the hope and promise that I will see you again someday. In the meantime, I will live my remaining days to the fullest with joy and anticipation of the beautiful life-ever-after that awaits us all.

I worked with Liz for a short time, but she taught me about professionalism, determination, classiness, and what it is to be a genuinenly good person and to always do the best you can. I was amazed at all the things she was able to accomplish. Liz was a great, wonderful, happy person.

Liz, you are missed.

Elizabeth came into our lives when she started taking voice lessons from me as a private student. I was teaching voice and opera at Modesto Junior College, and my wife Shirley was teaching piano and theory at MJC. We soon sensed that Liz possessed a very special voice and intellect beyond her own belief. We both urged her to enroll at Modesto Junior College as a music major so that she could pursue a music degree. She immediately took to her studies like the proverbial fish to water. A straight "A" student, she was a joy to teach and it gave us great pleasure to hear her beautiful voice grow. She was awarded numerous scholarships and later transferred to U. Of P. to continue her music degree. She was one of their outstanding students and was awarded a Bachelor of Music degree. She was well into a Master of Music degree at Sacramento State, when she became ill.

Liz was more than just another student to us. She became a great friend and inspiration to us and to many voice students. Not only did she win awards for her lovely voice, but she also had a gift for composing. She entered one of her songs in the MJC Humanities competition, and won first place. For that honor, she sang her own song in the annual award ceremony. Another vivid memory was when she returned to MJC for the 1957 Celebration of the Humanities Ceremony which was dedicated to Lewis. This was a surprise for him, as he did not know about it, and Liz had been asked to come and present the award. He was overwhelmed when she also sang a very beautiful aria, with Shirley accompanying her, and dedicated it to him. Her voice was so very beautiful that that everyone was overcome, especially Lewis.
We will always remember Liz and be so proud of everything she accomplished and achieved in her all too short life. She will always be a part of us, and we will always hear her beautiful voice in our hearts.

Elizabeth Jacobson was my aunt, and ever sence i can remember there has never been a dull moment with her. She was the type of woman who would brighten up a room just by her presence, and no matter how she was feeling she always seemed to have a sence of humor about everything. Her laugh was a one of a kind, a laugh that made her her own individual and if i think real hard i can still hear it in my head. I always looked up to my aunt Liz, i mean who wouldn't, she was what every woman strives to be; strong, outgoing, never brought other people down, and lived life up to every expectation God had intended for it to be liven. She knew the talents she contained and brought them out to thier full intentions by sharing them with everyone. Aunt Liz did what most people never realize to do in thier whole lifetime, lived life to the fullest and never took advantage of anything that came her way. She lived more in the 48 years she was alive then most people do in a lifetime. Everyone fights coming into this world and they should fight leaving it, God has plans for everyone and has more plans to come for my aunt Elizabeth weather we choose to believe it or not. So, though many people may question thierselves thinking "Elizabeth was a great person she didnt deserve to pass away" what they dont realize is that it's not that she didn't deserve to pass away its that God knew she had finished her duties in achieving every aspect of life and felt she deseved to be in the presence of him now, living in his holy kingdom which is by far a much more great place to be than any of us can ever imagine. Many of us will miss her, i know i will, we must keep living our lives and keep a special place in our heart for her for she will always be with us. Elizabeth Lopez Jacobson lived her life perfect and everyone she has ever known will remeber her with possitives thoughts, because she never gave off a negative vibe.

my hero,
Aunt Liz..
You were so talented. I always admired your lovely singing and i always wanted to be just like you. Thats why now i always cherish the days when you gave me singing lessons. I remember how much fun i had with your bubbly personality.

Even though i know you are gone up in heaven, i still want to sing and make you proud. I will always be thinking about you, i love you and i will miss you.

Thank you so much for everything you've done for me. I'll always admire your selflessness. I find comfort knowing you're with God now and we'll all see you again in heaven. I'll definitely miss you.
