Miss Berry was the first teacher for me that made English class fun. One of my all-time favs. I had her at Davis High as a freshman in 1979 and I still use many of her unusual (to me at the time) vocabulary words that we had to learn each week ("cacophony" has been one I always remember!). Loved her stories about submitting scripts to SNL and just her plain zaniness made her for many students their favorite teacher of a not-so-favorite topic/class. RIP Miss Berry, you were truly unique, well-respected and loved by your students who learned much more than just English skills. Thank you for fond memories and fun times!

We the Campos Family, knew the Berry Family very well, as my father Art Campos and Phil were the very best of friends. We grew up together in the 60's, occasionally visiting their home and listening to Phil's amazing stereo. He loved classical music. Lynn and my brother Roger went to school together and Marcia and I were the same age also. Sorry to hear about your loss Rhonda.

My heartfelt condolences to the family for their loss. May you take some comfort in each other and in prayer. James 1:13

I was a student at Grace Davis High in the late 70's, and had the good fortune of taking English from Miss Berry. When I started high school, I had no idea how to write an essay. Miss Berry was not only funny and engaging, but she was also a gifted teacher, who knew how to encourage her students to develop their writing skills. I don't think I fully appreciated it at the time, but the skills Miss Berry taught me continued to serve me through my college days and into my chosen career, as well. I will always fondly remember Miss Berry, and will always be grateful to her for her guidance.
