When I found Bob's obituary I was heartened to read he was so well loved and held in such high esteem by so many family members and friends. He must truly have grown into a warm caring man leaving a legacy as a loving mentor to his children and grandchildren. I was one of those who knew Bob during those fun and formative years in Quantico. It was a wonderful place to spend our teen years as we tried to sort out what we were going to do as we grew out of childhood and made our tentative steps into adulthood. Though sorry for his loss I'm happy he loved and was loved by so many.

Thinking about you Uncle Bob and missing you. I miss your phone calls, where you always had a good story about my dad, baseball, Disneyland, or the military. You were such a wealth of knowledge, history and great stories. And you always kept me up to date on politics and batting averages, which I'm sorry to say I'm not as well informed these days. If your up there in that special place in the sky watching over us then I know your not alone, so give my love and a big hug to uncle Billy and my Dad, I know you all are having fun!! Miss you and love you very much Uncle Bob!!

Dad,
I am sure you are very happy you said we were having a girl and you were right. You got the little girl you said you wanted. It is not the same without you to share this with us. She will always remind me of you. I miss you dad.

It seems like only a few days ago that we shared the times of fun and joy in High School, good ol' Quantico, VA. The Hut, bowling alley with soda fountain, downtown, the stables, the cute co-eds and life in the Domenion where the greatest moments of history of the United States took place. I, for one, will never forget.
Love to your memory and to your family
