We had the pleasure of meeting Mrs Ella Bell through my husband's brother, Carlton LeSueur. Unfortunately, it was at the funeral of Carlton's. He had talked about how much he loved her as a mentor, friend and mother figure. She arrived in "Ella Bell" fashion at his homegoing celebration. She alluded all Carlton had expressed of this wonderful person. We know she will be greatly missed. Hopefully, someone will carry the torch and continue her legacies in educating our youth.

I was so deeply saddened and shocked to hear of Soror Ella's passing. I extend my deepest sympathy to the family at this sad and difficult time.

A family is a circle of love, not broken by a loss, but made stronger by the memories. May God's grace give the family peace and the comfort needed to get through the tough days ahead.

My heartfelt condolences,
Dr. Margaret A. Breland Bradley
Former, Escambia County AL School Superintendent

"Ella B" was a phenomenal human being who believed & lived a life which reflected that we could all be more, love more, do more. She was my Heart & my Heroine. A Child Advocate like no other who taught me how to be a be a "Great Mother" because she was. She Talked the Talk & Walked the Walk & boy was she Funny, Honest, Confident & Forthright - Ella would say it up front so it won't stick out the back. You didn't have to ask her, she was just going to tell you & I adored that about her. I took her favorite lunch weekly to her office when we were both @ Alabama State so that I could sit around the table with her & hear her story, her tales & soak up her life experiences & advice. I would drive her to speaking engagements & funerals across Alabama & we had the best time, especially pulling over to the side of the road to pick fruit because she spotted a rare Persimmon Tree. She taught me how to perfect my hotwater cornbread because my little boy loved it & she always made sure that I made it for him. I am blessed to have met such a Wonder. Rest in Love My Queen.
