Terance Lee Dozier Sr.
LORAIN - Terance Lee Dozier Sr., 66, of Lorain passed away unexpectedly March 8, 2014.
He was born to the union of James Earl Dozier Sr. and Wilna Elizabeth Dozier in Lorain, Ohio on March 7, 1948. He was a long time resident of Lorain, Ohio, where many knew his name and smiling face.
Terance confessed Christ at an early age at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Lorain. He graduated from Lorain High School in June of 1967, while attending school he played football and ran track. He also attended Oberlin School of Commerce, majoring in Business Administration. His hobbies included photography, tennis and chess. He loved to photograph his family, friends, especially his grandchildren. He previously worked for Ford Motor Company as a production clerk , he later left Ford Motor Company to serve in the Army in Berlin, Germany. He received an honorable discharge. Terance then returned to the states and worked for his father's business, Dozier and Sons Cement Contractors. He started working for General Motors in Elyria, Ohio and later transfer to Parma, Ohio were he made an abundance of friends and lasting memories over his 40 years of service. Terance was truly the type of person to stop a stranger in the street and ask how their day is going. He had a very kind heart and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He leaves to cherish his memory his four children; Justin McKenzie of Glendale, AZ; DeShaun (Toccara) Tye of Sandusky, OH; Tomeka (Kertus) Lumpkin of Glendale, AZ; Terance (Briana) Dozier Jr. of Anchorage, AK; his loving brother Leslie "Pinky" Dozier of Lorain, OH. His 13 grandchildren; Justice, Isaiah, Justin, Takiyah, Nasia, Kenya, Nubia, Isaac, Talajah, Dezire, Kameyah, Taeyah and his soon to be born grandson Dante'.
He was preceded in death by his Father James Earl Dozier Sr., his Mother Wilna (nee Ulmer) Dozier and his brother James Earl Dozier Jr.
Visitation will be held Saturday March 15, 2014 from 10:00am until 11:00am at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Chruch, 1516 E. 30th Street, where the family will greet relatives and friends until time of Funeral Services at 11:00am; the Rev. Donald K. Young, Pastor, to Officiate.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Garden Cemetery in Avon.

Tomorrow will mark 10 years since your passing. I can't believe how the time flew by. I miss your voice, our debates and the laughs we shared together. If you can see all your granddaughters now (and our latest daughter whom I wish you could have met). I know in my heart your watching over us, and I see you in all of our girls, and for that I am at peace. Love you always Dad. XOXO

Pinky & family, so sorry to hear of the loss of your dear brother, father, & grandfather. Terry was my friend for so many years. James was my friend first then Terry and I clicked. 42 years ago he was my best man at my wedding. Ella & I will always remember and be grateful for having known Terry.

To a great guy. Terry you will be missed..Your smiling face and your little visits pulling over to the curb to talk to us..Such full of life...Always joking and laughing.
