Irving M. "Cookie" Cook FARMINGTON - Irving M. "Cookie" Cook, age 83, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, Nov. 22, 2020. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Barbara (Whiting) Cook; five children, Matthew (Donna) Cook, Alex (Meghan) Cook, Cheryl (Steve) Rose, Kimberlane (Bob) Hoover and Kristine Grant; 16 grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Michael Cook. Cookie retired from the VA Medical Center in 1994 after 37 years there. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Cookie was a member of Door to Hope Church in Hopewell. Services are private due to COVID-19 restrictions. Interment will be in Boughton Hill Cemetery, Victor. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 435 E. Henrietta Road, Rochester, NY 14620; or CompassCare, 2024 W. Henrietta Road, #6D, Rochester, NY 14623. Mr. "Cookie" was a hospitable and friendly guy. He took the time to encourage my sons in archery and show interest in who they are. He will be missed.
