My heartfelt condolences to the O'Brien family. It almost goes without saying that we have lost one of the finest men society could experience. Paul was not only a gentleman, he was a gentle man.

Paul and I were classmates at Niagara University. I grew up in Geneva, a few miles East of Victor, and we would double up to drive to Niagara as Seniors. I remember him as a very friendly, accepting classmate. He finished his undergraduate schooling an appointee to the 'Who's Who' List of American Colleges and Universities, an unintentional indicator of what was to follow.

Reading his Obituary, it seems it was 'written in the wind' that Paul would soar in every endeavor...a high level Officer in the United States Marine Corps, a high level executive in business, an Attorney via an elite Law School, a very successful executive in his own varied interests, a member of the Pittsford School Board, etc. etc. And all of this from one of the most selfless individuals I have ever met.

Much sadness within the O'Brien family, but also much pride being a part of Paul's family.

May God bless his soul as He whispers, '...well done, good and faithful servant'.

My condolences to Paul's family. I knew Paul as a devoted family man, an interested and interesting telephone company co-worker with a ready smile, kind words, a positive outlook and proud of his Marine Corps service. His love will always be a part of your lives.

My O'Brien was a lovely stoic neighbor, who lived behind me when I moved to Pittsford, NY in 1973. I cut his and his lovely wife, Diane's lawn for a few Summers on their rickety and smoky riding mower. It gave me much needed pocket money as I had no allowance. I will always remember his kind and tearful support as I came home with my little Sister's after hearing of my Beloved Father's passing.
My deepest heartfelt condolences to all of his family as they face their grief and healing from the large void left by him. May all the many great memories of him lift you up in times of sadness to come. I am so very happy he lived such a long life and had the good fortune of creating so many cherished memories and relationships with all who were a part of his life.

I worked with Paul at B&L. It is hard to find a more kind, talented and considerate soul. I have thought of him many times since leaving B&L and prayed for him during his illness. Prayers are now for his family whom he treasured so deeply.
