Kaye, MD, Thomas 7/27/1957 - 1/14/2021 Fremont, MI Thomas Robert Kaye, MD, aged 63, formally of Fremont, Michigan passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021 in Caldwell County, NC. He was born July 27, 1957 in Dade County, FL to the late Edwin James and Marilyn Marie Boshoven Kaye. He was preceded in death by his sister, Jane Soloman. Dr. Kaye practiced as a family physician for more than 30 years and devoted his life to helping others "from womb to tomb." In addition to the countless patients for which he provided care, he spent much of his free time assisting those in need. He provided endless compassion, support and humor to his family, friends and patients; assisting those suffering from drug addiction and making house calls to elderly patients and his Amish neighbors. He adored working with the Oakridge High School Football Team as the team physician, and had fond memories of his time with the coaches, players and members of the community. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy and Michigan State University alumni. When he wasn't watching MSU football and basketball, Dr. Kaye enjoyed spending time with his family, skiing, snowmobiling, riding his Harley and being outdoors. In addition to all his generous and significant work, he will most be remembered for his energetic personality and for bringing humor and light-heartedness to every situation. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 8 years, Kyle Ferski Kaye; three daughters, Sarah Whalen and husband Tim, Danielle Oster and husband Reece; and Isabel Johnson; one sister, Margo Barr and husband Dan; one brother, Mike Kaye and wife Dawn; one granddaughter Adelaide Whalen; three nieces, four nephews, twelve great-nieces and nephews; father-in-law, Michael Ferski; mother-in-law Lynn Willcutt and husband Roger; his beloved frat brothers and numerous friends. Dr. Kaye blessed the lives of so many . He was there through my wifes battle with disease, both my sons birth, etc. He had such a great personality and a smile that lit up the room. One of my very favorites and the first doctor I looked forward to seeing. An amazing soul. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family! Sincerely, The VanderLaans

Dr. Kaye was my Dr. for about a year in Muskegon. From my first appointment with him to the last..He impressed me so much! He was always down to earth..took his time...listened..and showed genuine concern about me as a patient. He was a very Good Dr. I would say The Best...The health care profession sadly lacks special people like him.I know he will be missed by many.

Our deepest condolences to Dr. Kaye's family. Dr. Kaye took care of my husband and myself for many years and we miss him terribly. So tragic that he did not get to enjoy all the adventures he had planned for his retirement. Thoughts and prayers to you all for peace at this difficult time. I'm sure he is riding his Harley in the sky!
