Charles K. Navickas
AGE: 83 • Piscataway
Charles K. Navickas, 83, of Piscataway, passed away peacefully Friday, June 20 with his loving family by his side. Born in Lithuania, he was the son of the late Kazys and Mary Navickas. After arriving in the United States in 1949, he worked as a machinist for T. Shriver in Harrison. He later was employed by the DPW of Piscataway until his retirement in 1995. He was a member of RUTA Folk Dance Company, as well as the Knights of Lithuania. Mr. Navickas was a fantastic ballroom dancer. He was a kind, gentle hearted man who loved working around the house and tending his garden, especially his tomatoes and cukes. He loved his flowers, as well as his pets and the strays that he always seemed to collect. He was a wonderful husband and loving father who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Mr. Navickas is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Dalia (Slepakovas). He is also survived by his adored daughter Lily Stein of Piscataway, his sisters and brothers in law, Angela and John, Ellen and Sam and Violet and Scott, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by beloved son Edward in 2003. The family would like to express their thanks and best wishes to everyone at Haven Hospice for all of their loving care.
A viewing will be held on Monday, June 23 from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave, Dunellen NJ. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 23 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Piscataway. Burial will follow at St. Gertrudes Cemetery in Colonia. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Mr. Navickas' name to Haven Hospice, 65 James St, Edison, NJ 08820 or by calling (732) 632-1540.

Our deepest sympathy on your loss. Charlie was such a wonderful man and good neighbor of ours when we lived in Piscataway. His wonderful smile, friendliness and love of animals will never be forgotten. We are so sorry for your loss, Dee and Lily. May Charlie rest in peace.
