Dorothy Zardavets Obituary

Dorothy "Dottie" Zardavets

Toms River - Dottie passed away peacefully at home in Toms River on December 13 after a long battle with Alzheimers Disease. She was born in Perth Amboy in 1924 and graduated from PAHS in 1941. During the war she worked at the Raritan Arsenal in Edison where she made many lasting friendships with fellow workers.

She married J. Joseph Zardavets of New Brunswick, a Navy Veteran, after the war and lived in Edison for the next 70 years. After her husband died at an early age she re-invented herself and enjoyed a lucrative career in banking.

She is pre-deceased by her husband and second son Gary, parents, two brothers and two sisters and survived by her oldest son Joe Zardavets and beloved daughter in-law Noreen Stephenson of Jackson NJ, three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Everyone loved "Dottie" she always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. She leaves behind many wonderful memories and will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be private.
