Joanne Van

Matawan - Joanne Van, of Matawan, NJ, took the Lords hand on Friday, Jan. 8, 2021 at Bayshore Hospital. She was born in Long Branch, NJ on December 12, 1952 to the late Alex Joha and Dorothy William Blue.

She is predeceased by her husband, Michael Edward Van, Sr, her brothers and sisters; Ronald Blue, Michael Carter, both from Asbury Park, Theresa Blue of New York, Pauline Blue of Ohio, Ernestine Tina Blue of Cliffwood Beach and Terry Blue of New York.

Joanne devoted all of her time and her love to her family, children, grandchildren and friends. She was a CNA for over 40 years. She always took care of people, family and friends. She touched everyone who knew her and visited the Community Church of Christ in Cliffwood.

She leaves to mourn, her 3 children; Gabrielle Holman of Matawan, Erica Van Blue of Earth, Michael Edward, Jr. of Matawan, her sister, Carol Butler of Asbury Park, her brother, Robert Blue of Red Bank, her grandchildren; Tyshon Van Blue of Iowa, Mychael Cameron Wiliam Van of Union Beach and Nicholas of Union Beach and a host of nieces and nephews.

Joanne enjoyed frequenting A.C. and was an avid bingo player. She enjoyed entertaining her family and friends, cooking, having BBQs in the backyard and playing with her grandchildren. She was all about love and family.

Family and friends are invited to visit Friday, Jan. 15, 2021 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM at the Bedle Funeral Home, Matawan, NJ. A funeral service will commence at the funeral home, Saturday, Jan. 16 at 11:30 AM. DUE TO COVID-19 REGULATIONS, WE CAN ONLY ALLOW UP TO 25 PEOPLE INTO THE FUNERAL AT A TIME AND MASKS ARE REQUIRED.
