Ronald V. Lozak

Formerly of Metuchen - Ronald Vincent. Lozak, 89, born 5/5/1929 formerly of Metuchen, NJ, entered into eternal rest on September 17, 2018 of Prostate Cancer in Hospice Care at his son's home in Williamsburg, Virginia.

Born in the Port Reading Section of Woodbridge Township, to the late Frank and Marion Lozak, Ronald was a long time Metuchen resident since 1953 with his wife Margaret. He was a graduate of Woodbridge High School and excelled in baseball and basketball. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Rider University in 1953, and played Varsity Baseball.

Ronald was enlisted in the US Air Force during the Korean War, achieving the Rank of 2nd Lieutenant, being stationed in Houston Texas, Panama City Florida and Ramstein Air Base in Germany.

His working career was Financial Controller at the Delco-Remy Division of General Motors in New Brunswick NJ for 33 years before retiring in 1986. After retirement he became an Independent Financial Advisor, and Certified Tax Accountant, continuing working until July 2018. Ronald was a member of the Metuchen Lions Club, Jaycees, and coached Multiple Youth Sports teams during his tenure.

Ronald is predeceased by his wife Margaret (Mikula) of 62 years, in October 2013.

Ronald is survived by his son, Craig Lozak Sr. and his wife Cynthia, in Williamsburg,Virginia & his 2 grandchildren Craig Jr. and wife Erica of Collegeville, PA. and Joseph and Fiance Allison Morris of Henrico, Virginia.

There will be a Celebration of Life Memorial on November 4th from 1-5pm from the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 568 Middlesex Ave. Metuchen; followed by a November 5th 10:15am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis Cathedral in Metuchen. Interment with Military honors will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Metuchen, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Heartland Hospice Fund, or American Cancer Society in Ronald's honor.

We are saddened to learn of Ron's passing. He prepared our family's taxes for many years and provided us with financial advice. He also became a friend; we enjoyed our conversations with him when he visited our home. Our condolences to Ron's family.
