McLEAN, Barrie Norman:
Peacefully at Nelson Hospital, on Saturday, February 20, 2021, surrounded by his loving family, aged 77 years. Cherished husband and best friend of Shona; much loved father and father-in-law of Robyn McLean and Peter Versey, John and Jolene McLean (Perth); special Grandad of Grace, Beth, Cameron, Emily, Matthew, Scarlett, and Sam; loved brother-in-law of Heather and Trevor Crew (Christchurch), Ian and Karen Davidson (Nelson), Allan and Margaret Davidson (Auckland); much loved nephew of Elva Flintoft (Motueka); loved brother of the late Norma Rothwell, and Ian McLean; brother-in-law of Mary McLean; much loved friend of Jo and Quentin Harwood, Stephen Hawke and Sue Callaghan and Nicky and Robert Wesney.
An active community man, nurse and all round good bloke with a huge heart.
A legend.
No flowers by request but any donations to Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated, and these can also be made at the service. A celebration of Barrie's life will be held at Marsden House Funeral Home, 41 Nile Street East, Nelson, on Thursday, February 25, at 2.00pm.
