Doris E. Williamson
HEATH: Doris Ellen Williamson was born March 20, 1938 in Dyersburg, Tennessee to Frank and Mary Ennis. Doris passed away early Thanksgiving Day, 11/23/17, while a patient with the Hospice of Central Ohio LMH unit, after a long battle with COPD.
Doris married Billy Wayne Williamson on September 4, 1953 and they made their home and raised their family in the Newark, OH area.
Doris was a licensed beautician and managed her own beauty salon before going into real estate around 1968. Doris then worked as a licensed realtor for many years in several local realtor offices until she retired approximately twelve years ago.
Doris was loved by all who knew her, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends and neighbors of all the kids that all knew her as "Granny". She always took the time to make every one of the kids feel special and went out of her way to spoil each and every one of them as only a grandmother can with her special love.
Granny is survived by her son, Jeffrey (Huicha) Williamson; daughter, Carolyn (James) Matthews; sister, Joyce Williams; niece, Alma Elease Albaugh; grandchildren, Drisa (Nathan) Paynter, Jamie Matthews; great-grandchildren, Emma and Kasey Paynter; step-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.
In addition to her parents, Doris was proceeded in death by her husband of 62 years, and the love of her life, Billy Wayne Williamson.
A memorial service will be held at 6 pm on Tuesday November 28, 2017 at VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME, 1850 W. Main Street, Newark with Brandon Moore officiating. Friends and family may call from 4 pm to 6 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Hospice of Central Ohio for their kindness and loving support.
Memorial donations may be made to the Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio, P.O. Box 430, Newark, OH 43058.

I am very sorry for your loss. Doris was our Realtor when I purchased my first home and my father knew Billy from his truck driving days. May your memories bring you comfort in the days and weeks ahead.
