Robert Ramsey
Reynoldsburg - Robert K. Ramsey, age 71, was better known as Keith to his family, Bob to his friends, Peeps to his grandchildren and their friends, and Coach to more young athletes than could ever be counted. He was surrounded by family and peacefully entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Thursday, January 4. Bob was born January 7, 1946 in Taylorville, Illinois to the late Hubert and Bette Ramsey. He was a 1965 graduate of Walnut Ridge High School in Columbus, Ohio. During the course of his career, he was an executive at Consolidated International; President and Owner of Omega Sales, Inc. and Alpha Auto Parts; and salesman for Bob-Boyd Lincoln Mercury, where he earned numerous awards for outstanding achievement. He was also co-owner and coach of the Columbus Winds semi-professional football team. A resident of Pataskala and member of The Summit Station United Methodist Church for more than forty years, Bob was a devoted and well-respected member of the community. For most of his life, he was involved in youth sports; whether he was acting as a league officer, a coach, or a spectator, he impacted the lives of countless athletes over the years through his advice and encouragement. The most important thing in Bob's life was his family. He was a devoted husband and loving father, but his greatest joy came from being a grandfather. Peeps could usually be found cheering at sporting events, sitting at the kitchen table helping with homework, playing with the little ones and expanding their imagination, or sitting in his recliner with a sleeping baby in his arms, but there was never a time when you wouldn't find Bob supporting his children and grandchildren in everything they did. Bob's legacy will be cherished and carried on by his devoted wife of 48 years, Diana; children, Courtney Fetter (Duane Cartee) and Bo (Courtney); grandchildren, Brynna and Kevin Yeager, Julianna Fetter, Hayden and Tyson Ramsey, and Ethan and Emma Fetter; loved ones Paul Fetter (Kim Belcher); brother, Kenneth (Caren) Ramsey; sister, Katherine (Delmar) Jones and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws. Bob was greeted at the Gates of Heaven by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, as he reunited with his parents; in-laws, Fern and Richard Strausbaugh; grandparents and other loved ones. Memorial visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at KAUBER-FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, 289 S Main St, Pataskala, OH 43062. Additional visitation on Wednesday from 12-2 pm at Summit Station United Methodist Church, 6626 Summit Rd SW, Pataskala, OH 43062, will be followed by a Celebration of Life Service with Pastor Clark Hess officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude or Nationwide Children's Hospital in Bob's memory. An online memorial will be available at www.kauberfraley.com

Ramsey Family, my heart is heavy after hearing about the loss of Mr. Bob Ramsey, whom I knew mostly as "Bo's dad" and the announcer for many years at the LH Wrestling Inv. I'm so sorry I missed the celebration of Mr. Ramsey's life with all of you. Know he is in good hands with the Lord, and helping Him watch over us from above.

We all go through life and we meet tons of people. Some you know for a moment and some you know for years. Everyone leaves an impression and then a few leave a lasting imprint on your heart, where you know that you were truly blessed in knowing them. A rare type of person that God has blessed you with. Robert Ramsey was this kind of man. A real man, that was a loving and selfless person that put everyone elses needs ahead of his own. If you knew him, then you are better for it, and know exactly what we mean. Thank you for being in our lives. We will always remember you and treasure the memories created with you. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire family during this difficult time. We love you Peeps. Love Paul, Kim, Ethan and Emma. ❤
