Shirley Margnelli Obituary
BERLIN
Shirley R. (Kellum) Margnelli, beloved wife of Norman Margnelli and daughter of the late Rose and Laurence Kellum, died Sunday, July 27, 2025 at her home in Berlin. Shirley is a graduate of Berlin High School and Ona Wilcox Nursing School. She worked as an RN retiring from Middlesex Convalescence and Nursing Home.
She is a member of the Kensington Congregational Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Rev. Pamela Rose Vollinger (Gary), Jay Margnelli (Coreen), Mark Margnelli (Joanne); grandchildren, Daniel Vollinger (Hannah), Kathryn Vollinger, Justin Margnelli, Joelle Margnelli, A.J. Margnelli (Ashley); and four great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025 at 11 a.m. at the Kensington Congregational Church. Calling hours are Thursday, July 31, 2025 from 5-7 p.m. at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home of Berlin, 111 Chamberlain Hwy., Berlin. Dear Norm, Pam, Jay, Mark and families I am so sorry to hear about Shirley´s passing. She and my dad were friends since 4th grade and she graduated from nursing school with my mom. When they figured it out (at a nursing school reunion) the 4 of them became great friends and stayed in one another´s lives until my folks passed. Shirley will be missed but I know that my folks will greet her with big hugs and so much love.
