Services for Daniel P. Salesky, 47, of Willowick, will be at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2016 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, prior to the service.
Dan passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 30, 2016.
Born October 27, 1968 in Cleveland, he was a lifelong Lake County resident, having lived in Willowick for the past 19 years.
He served briefly on Willowick City Council and was very active in youth sports with his sons, serving as a coach. He served as president of Willowick Baseball League and vice-president of Willowick Football League. Dan was a graduate of South High School, class of 1987 and graduated from Cleveland State University and then earned his Master's Degree from Tiffin University in Criminal Justice Administration.
Dan was employed as the Chief Probation Officer with the Willoughby Municipal Court and previously worked for the Lake County Courts. He was also an adjunct professor at Lakeland Community College.
Survivors are his wife of 20 years, Alina (Ruth) Salesky; sons, Kile and Brandon; parents, Paul and Janet (Hill) Salesky of Chardon; grandmother, Dorothy Salesky of Eastlake; twin-brother, David (Jessica) Salesky of Eastlake and sister, Angie (Dan) Gibson of Willoughby. He also leaves many nieces and nephews and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to Willoughby South High School Athletic Boosters, 5000 Shankland Road, Willoughby, OH 44094.
