Mr. Jenkins, was my homeroom teacher in 8th grade at Carlisle Junior High School, Carlisle, Ohio. He was a super nice man and loved by all his students. We all had alot of respect for Doug and looked up to him. He was a kind and fabulous teacher. I just hope that he may rest in peace. May his family be blessed with peace and comfort in this tragedy...

Mr. Jenkins was the first person I looked up to as a kid other than my dad. At the time he was my Math teacher and Junior High basketball coach at Carlisle. He was a towering figure and intimidating but you also felt his compassion. I will be forever thankful that he offered me a track coaching position after I graduated. 32 years later and I am still coaching track. Thanks Mr. Jenkins RIP
