Carol was a wonderful next-door neighbor of 22 years. She helped me raise my children by letting me know when they were doing something mischievous, but, she would also compliment them on their accomplishments. She treated them like they were her own grandchildren, looking out for them. When I moved away, I missed our many conversations, as well as her advice on many different subjects. I will always cherish my memories of a very special woman, whom I was fortunate to live next door to for so many years.

I lived next door to Carol and Bob for two years, after marrying Mike. Carol and I would talk often in our driveways, recalling old St. Louis and its landmarks and how things used to be there. She recalled things from her childhood and she was such an interesting person to talk to. She was clever and funny and she always made me laugh. We had the St. Louis connection, but, even if we didn't, we would have found common interests. When we moved, we missed our good neighbors next door, Carol and Bob. I will always have fond memories of her.
