This beautiful lady was my first grade teacher at Lucas Elementary school way back in the 1970's I loved her because she was just like a second mother to me. I had health problems and low self esteem and she made extra time to talk to me and tell me anything was possible. I remember I gave her a wooden dog laying down for teachers appreciation day. I wondered what happened with her over the years and I'm very sad that she's gone. But in case she's looking down on me, she's sees that all the positive talk and hugs well they paid off and I'm forever grateful. RIP

It is hard to believe that it has been almost a year of not hearing your voice. I miss you very much and think of your words of wisdom often. I carry you in my heart always and love you for being such a special person in my life.

I was the student that Henrietta said made her career as a teacher worth it. Henrietta was like a second mother to me. She had in a lot of ways made me the person that I am today. I talked to her on the phone since she moved, just to check in with her. I am the greatful one for being be b!Essex to have had Henrietta in my life since 1976. She was my truest friend and my life's angel. I just want her family to know how much she meant to me and the legacy that she will forever have in NY heart. I will always love her and truly miss her. To the family of Mrs. Henrietta Huddleston, we express our deepest condolences during this difficult time. May you be given the strength and comfort that only God can give today and in the days ahead. Know that there are many fond memories of Mrs. Henrietta as we can remember during her visits home in Springfield. She was a pleasure to know and a beautiful soul at heart. Please know that we are thinking of you all.
