I graduated from SMS in 1961 and began my teaching career at Study Junior High.
I remember Leota as a very professional, kind, and talented woman. I taught at Study for two years, but failed to know that we were "sort of" related.
My mother, Louise McCroskey, was the daughter of Henry and Anna (Beutler) Wagemann. Leota was not born a Beutler, but became one, so I guess that made us related.
She was a wonderful woman and I enjoyed working with her. I feel very blessed to have known her.

Mrs. Beutler was my home-ec teacher at Study School many years ago. She was a wonderful person and always so happy when I would meet her later on as an adult. Let your memories of her comfort you.
