To the Gentry Family,
I am saddened to learn of the passing of dear Rev. Gentry. As a teenager at National Ave Christian Church, Rev. Gentry was a huge inspiration in my life. I will never forget his passion and the kindness he had for others. We had fun times when he and my father coached the NACC softball team. After Rev. Gentry and family left NACC, my parents (Gerry & Velda Lawrence) continued to receive a Christmas card every year and this meant so much to them. When my father passed away in 2005, Rev. Gentry sent the kindest, most heartfelt letter to my mother. He was truly a special man. May God bless your family during this time of sorrow and all the days ahead. With Sincere sympathy -
Marianne (Lawrence) Gaddy.

A breeze caused my wind chime with bells to ring not 2 minutes after I'd heard the news of MY ministers passing.
"When a bell rings, an angle received their wings". NOT A DOUBT THAT Rev Gentry received his angle wings and continues to watch over us.

My sincere sympathy goes out to the Gentry Family. I was a member of Fairview Christian Church as a child, youth, and young adult when Pastor Gentry came in the 1970's.
I know he will be missed.
Sincerely, Nancy Robertson Baymiller

On behalf of the Salvation Army I want to express our apprentiion to this spececial man of God for his heart to God and hand to man. As a member of the Salvation Army's Northland Advisory Council Reverand Loyd Gentry could brighten up a meeting while keeping us focused on the needs of others.

We thank God for you Loyd and know that you have been Promoted to Glory.
