Betty P. Nolle
Betty P. Nolle, age 84, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away Friday, January 20, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO. She was born June 24, 1932, in Farmington, Missouri to Mortimer and Carrie Philips.
Betty graduated from St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing in 1953. She served the community of Springfield as a nurse for many years. She also operated and owned Fred's Vacuum Cleaner Hospital with her husband, Fred Nolle, for 58 years. She treasured the years she spent traveling the world with Fred. She enjoyed spending time with her family above all other things. Throughout her life, many hours were spent playing board games, watching movies, and simply talking and joking with those she loved most. She gave joy and purpose to everyone who loved her.
Betty always felt tremendous pride and love for her grandchildren. In her last year of life, she was so happy to see her grandson, Luke, marry his wife, Hannah, and to see her granddaughter Natalie, marry her husband, Wesley. She was overjoyed to know her granddaughter, Zoe, had graduated nursing school, and would be embarking on the same career path that Betty had. She loved talking to her grandson, Jonah, about his successes in medical school and his hopes for the future. Lastly, she treasured her time with her grandson, Sam, and was delighted to see all he was accomplishing in college.
Betty is survived by her two daughters, Julie Allen and her husband Dr. Larry Allen, and Dr. Jean Moore and her husband Father Andrew Moore. She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren (whom she loved so, so much): Luke Allen and his wife, Hannah Allen, Zoe Allen, Natalie Moore Kosko and her husband, Dr. Wesley Kosko, Jonah Moore, and Samuel Moore. She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Nolle, her parents, and her sister, Lois Philips.

Every time I have ever thought of your mom, I would just smile as I remembered how much fun she was and how much everyone loved her.

I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Betty for a short time at the State Health Dept. She was always pleasant and a joy to talk to.
