Cindy E. Ayers
Cyndi Elaine Ayers, age 64, of Sparta, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 in her home. Cindy was born January 7, 1952 in Springfield, one of four children of Evelyn M. Ross and Clarence E. Ross.
Cyndi and Jack Ayers were united in marriage on April 6, 2002. Their immediate family included three adult children.
Cyndi was a free spirited, loving wife, mother, and sister. She grew up in Springfield, and graduated from Hillcrest High School. Cyndi enjoyed being outdoors planting flowers, gardening, completing yard work, cooking and keeping her home in order. In her later years her greatest enjoyment was taking care of and spoiling her loving pets, Tigger, Sassy, Rocky, and two cats Decon and Max.
Survivors include: her loving husband, Jack Ayers; three children and their spouses, Del and Shawna Ayers of Republic; Charlie and Tammy Jones of Bixby, OK; and Melissa and Johnnie Starnes of Ozark; six grandchildren, Lacey Gates of Springfield; Elizabeth Ayers of Republic; Jake Jones and Josh Jones, both of Bixby, OK; Victoria Jones of Bloomington, MN; and Tucker Starnes of Ozark; three sisters, Karen Rose, Jeanie Carter and Sherry McHaffie, all of Springfield; as well as many nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.
Cyndi was preceded in death by her parents, Evelyn Ross from Springfield and Clarence Ross of Kansas City.
Cyndi's positive spirit, bright smile and contagious laughter will be truly missed by all of her loved ones.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2016 in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Kent Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Union Chapel Cemetery, Fordland. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
Cyndi's family requests that donations be made to Route 66 Rescue in lieu of flowers.
