Virginia Mae Woods
Virginia Mae Woods, 87, of Ozark, Missouri went to Heaven to be with her husband "Bill" and her Heavenly Savior on Friday December 2, 2016. Virginia was born in Tory, Missouri on May 23, 1929, to Leonard and Lena Gonce. She married William (Bill) Woods on June 19, 1948 who preceded her in death on December 26, 2015. Virginia is survived by her three children, Dennis Woods and wife Brenda, Brenda Bilyeu and husband Richard, Susie Hampton and husband Brad; her eight grandchildren, Jeremy Woods, Angie Murfin and husband Randy, Jennifer Housley and husband Wayne, Julie Huffman and husband Mark, Janie Johnson and husband Mike, Zachary Hampton and wife Nicole, Bethany Hampton and husband Heath and Seth Hampton, her three step grandchildren, Shawn Koder, Jason Cook and his wife Jill; her 16 great- grandchildren; two loving sisters, Bessie Meier and husband Carl, Sheryl Foster and husband Bob, several nieces and nephews and many loving, friends and neighbors.
Virginia was a dedicated mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, great aunt and friend and was loved by everyone who knew her. She was devoted to the Lord, always enjoyed keeping watch over her precious grandbabies, listening to Christian radio and lived her life always concerned with others and modeled Christ's love daily. Virginia was full of energy and didn't let anything slow her down. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and never went a day without having someone stop by to visit her. Her working years were spent at Fasco Industries where she retired February of 1993. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the building fund at First Baptist Church, Ozark.
Funeral services for Virginia will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, December 8, 2016 at First Baptist Church, Ozark MO, with interment following in Hopedale Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday evening in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark , MO. On line condolences may be shared at www.barnesfamilyfunerals.com
