Blake became a dear friend of ours when I worked at Gilhooleys. I am so sorry he was taken so young. We always had a great time and a lot of laughs when he came in. We will miss you Blake.

Blake was named after his father's best friend in the Army during WW2. His friend was killed while sitting next to his father Bob somewhere in Europe. Blake's father named him after his comrade in arms. He was my first cousin and a first rate man. RC M.D.

Dear Cousin, so sorry to hear you have left us, but I am sure you will be in beautiful peace now. Have not seen you in many years but I have some pictures from when we were all young and my family would come to the farm every summer with my parents from Boston..

Today I found out one of my Co workers from the Cn has passed away...Rtc Bms....Blake Sawyer desk 7 Iowa sub. Many people may not know he had a soft side to him very humorous and loved baseball....they may had said he's odd I found him unique. He have all types of pens his penmanship was out of this world. He would always come in hour and a half early to work read the newspaper for 30min then take over the job 30 to 45min early we all loved that being 2 desk were combined at night and it was a relief to get rid of one early. He would always play jokes he loved to tease me I would let him cause he seemed to get a kick out of it and I loved to see him laugh or smile. His nickname to me was mimi...inside joke...or derailment queen...another inside joke...lol. Rest in peace Blake or my nickname to you blankmenship...It was a pleasure working with you. ...you will be missed. I was just reminded he knew I liked candy when I walked away from desk candy would be on my desk and I would thank him but he would always tell me I don't know what I'm talking about....tears.. he was special....

From some 40 years ago in Willard, MO and my "little Blake", who adored you and your Trans Am. Your memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew you. My Blake was thrilled to ride in your car back then. He's all grown up now and those memories are all we have. Condolences to your mom, Sue, who also was my dear friend, and to all family surviving. Go rest high on that mountain, your work on earth is done. Life is like a mountain railway....................
