Bruce was a great friend of mine in high school. We graduated together, played on the same summer softball team and often played cards at his parents’ house where his family always graciously welcomed Bruce’s friends. He was smart, good looking and always well-dressed. He loved the Mets and had an opening day attendance record for years. Most importantly he was a great friend and made a real difference in my life. My deepest condolences to his family and friends in this great loss George Vollmuth.
