To The Family of SGT James Regan:
I am also in the US Army, (Reserves) and was also stationed in Iraq at the time that your son was killed. Though I did not personally know him, My unit at the time was a hospital unit called the 399th Combat Support Hospital. We tended to all the many wounded, and also to the remains of all those who came through our hospital. Though we were stationed in several cities in Iraq, I myself was in Balad. I did not get to directly see any of those who may have cared for your son's remains, but it is likely that he was cared for by our unit at some point. I wish to extend my greatest condolences for your loss. I know it has been some 13 years since that time, but I want you to know that he and many other fallen heroes from that war will NEVER be forgotten. It is also a time in my life that I will never forget.I myself will be retiring from the Army in just a few short months, so I wanted to extend once again my condolences and the share pride that we all share with you as veterans who selflessly serve and sacrifice for our country, as your son, and to a much lesser degree myself, have sacrificed our lives for. Best wishes now and for always, SGT George G. Balzano.

To the family and friends of Sgt. James J. Regan:
It has truly been my honor to sign James' guest book these past few years. Unfortunately, due to complications from my Multiple Sclerosis, this may be the last message I'm able to write. Please forgive me and know that James will always be remembered in my home.
With love and respect ~ Peggy
