I had Prof. Minogue in 1985/1986. He was by far my favorite professors, and most influence on my future career choice. RIP.

I had the honour of having this wonderful guy as a professor at SCCC in 1984 and 1985. My classmates and I still talk about him to this day. What a great guy. My sincerest and deepest condolences to the family.

I HAD THE TREMENDOUS PLEASURE TO HAVE MR. MINOGUE FOR 5 OUT OF MY 9 CRIMINAL JUSTICE CLASSES AT SUFFOLK COMMUNITY COLLEGE BETWEEN 1986 - 1988. HE HAD SUCH AN ENORMOUS IMPACT ON MY WORK ETHIC AND DRIVE TO SUCCEED. I MEAN, LOOK AT ALL THIS WONDERFUL MAN ACCOMPLISHED THROUGHOUT HIS LONG LIFE! HE WAS SUCH A GREAT ROLE MODEL AND OVER THE YEARS I WOULD OFTEN THINK ABOUT HIM AND ALL I LEARNED, NOT ONLY ABOUT THE CLASS MATERIAL, BUT ABOUT LIFE AND HOW TO BE A DECENT HUMAN BEING. I REMEMBER WHEN STUDENTS DIDN'T DO THEIR ASSIGNMENTS, MR. MINOGUE WOULD WALK AROUND THE CLASSROOM AND GIVE THEM A GENTLE SMACK ON THE BACK OF THEIR HEADS CALLED A "SWIFTY." WHAT A TERRIFIC BALANCE OF A SENSE OF HUMOR AND SERIOUSNESS HE HAD TO HIM. GOD BLESS YOU MR. MINOGUE, YOU WERE TRULY A SAINT AND I NEVER WILL FORGET THE DIFFERENCE YOU MADE IN MY LIFE.

Sorry to hear of the passing of Rod Minogue. Even though we only me a few times, my parents Jerry and Diana Minogue spoke of him often. Our prayers go out to the family.

Extremely sad to hear of the death of our Floral Park neighbor. Mr. Minogue was the hero of the Wilde family of Primrose Avenue. 95 years old just last week. Our get together last year was memorable with our families, including all 4 Generations, thoroughly enjoying each others company. I will always remember him as a kind, loving family man, highly educated with a great sense of humor. Our love to Mrs. Minogue and the family. Eileen & Joe Volpi

My sincere condolences to the Minogue family on Rod's passing. I was a colleague of Rod's at Suffolk CC and enjoyed his company immensely. He was a facile and popular professor always available to help his students. Dr. Peter A. Spina, President Emeritus Monroe CC
